Founders complete divestiture of Suplari from Microsoft

Suplari was acquired by Microsoft in 2021 with the goal of integrating Suplari AI powered insights into select Microsoft Dynamics 365 offerings. To further align their business and product strategies, Microsoft concluded that Suplari could reach its full potential as a separate entity and divested the Suplari entity back to the original founders. Microsoft will maintain a minor equity stake in the new company.

Jeff Gerber, who most recently was the General Manager of Suplari at Microsoft will be the CEO.  Mark Jancola, who was most recently CTO at, will serve as CTO and head of Customer Success. Claude Mullins, who was the original Suplari sales leader prior to the acquisition, will take over as CRO.

Jeff Gerber stated “Back in 2017, I founded Suplari with the idea to connect enterprise data sets with AI to deliver insights and opportunities for companies to optimize their business. We were incredibly customer focused and did everything we could to make our users successful. This led us to develop a great product that won awards, attracted amazing customers, and ultimately led to the Microsoft acquisition in 2021. With this divestment, a new chapter in the evolution of Spend AI has begun as Suplari Inc will accelerate towards the vision of a generative AI-powered procurement business system that delivers insights, promotes data-driven decisions, and streamlines financial workflows for enterprises around the world.”
